It's true. Know one knows jack shit about it.
Now, my family didn't come over from England until after the Civil War was over and Slavery had been abolished. Let that be known now.
People don't seem to know that there are FIVE Confederate Flags, of which the most known is the Confederate BATTLE Flag. Also, of which, the real Confederate Flag is one of the Six Flags that reside over Texas. It symbolizes or time with the Confederacy. We also have the Spanish, French, Mexican, America, and Republic of Texas Flags. Which you can read about
here [en.wikipedia.org], if you want because not all of them are the current flags.
I just think it's interesting how no one ever bitches about that flag even though it's the Confederate Flag.
What most people do not know is that the American Civil War
WAS NOT about slavery. It was about Southern Secession.
Lincoln knew that they couldn't last without Southern resources - but the South still wanted out.
That was the main thing. Slavery was a minor issue in the whole thing - because if it was a major issue then the Union wouldn't have waited until the end of the war to set the slaves free.
What people also do not know is that the first person in the US that "legally" owned slaves was black.
Also that the Europeans got the slaves from Africa by means of trading them for alcohol and other things. Yes, they were already enslaved by other black people, most of different tribes.
Also, what most people really fail to realize is that every single race has been enslaved at some point in History. My Indian ancestors were slaves somewhere along the way - I damn well promise you that.
Jews were enslaved and persecuted for... oh, damn, how long was it again? I lost count on account of how long it was.
On account of their only being 3 races in the world (Caucasoid, Negroid, and Mongoloid).
My point is, if we wanna totally get rid of any icons of slavery then we should get rid of pyramids, railroads, cotton farms, things like that.
Because slaves built and worked on those.
So, anyway, the truth of the Civil War has been revisionized. Slaves fought for the North and the South. Slaves fought in damn near every war for each side.
Even during the American Revolution, slaves fought and some were captured and were forced to fight for the British.
It happened. But things are not like that anymore.
Point is, it was not about slavery. It was never about slavery to the point that people seem to think. It was a part of it, the economy was a major part in it.
People seriously need to pop their heads out their asses - I swear.
But, also... Those who win the war also write the History books. I suppose they wanted to make sure the youth of the South believed what they wrote so they could keep the next generation from wanting out as well.
Ignorance to the youth in order to keep them by your side forever.
But, hey, teaching kids to hate. It's pretty common these days. But it only seems to be about black slaves. Nothing for the Jews and Asians I guess, sorry guys, you don't get any handouts.
I'm 100%
against slavery by the way, I just happen to be very pro-Southern.
People just need to learn the truth.
