Okay, so my brother is 16, I'm 14 and my sister is 11. You'd think he'd care and not get overly mad about stuff, right? WRONG!

My brother gets home from school, and is leaving for a friends house. He asks me and my sister if he can borrow one of our headphones for the night because he broke his. I tell him no and so does my sister. He proceeds to call both of us assholes, that's right, assholes, and storms off to his room! As he leaving he says: "Man, I ask you two for one little thing and you bone me (it sounded like he said that, I can't be sure) off!"

Call me an asshole, whatever. I don't give a fuck. I know he can barley stand me. But call my little 11 year old sister an asshole just because we won't let you use our headphones?!!?!? I bring the mother fucking house down on you! If he thinks he's getting away with this, he has another thing coming! I called my mom (yea, yea, whatever, I told my mom, don't call me a freaking snitch!) and if he thinks that she's pissed off? Just wait until my dad gets a hold of him!

He's always saying "Man, (he says 'man' a lot when he talks) I can't wait to get out of here!" I swear to God if he says that one more time I'm going to fling open the front door and say "Fine, leave! Pack your bags, get a paying job, get your own place, try to feed yourself and stay in school!" He needs a fucking wake up call!!!!!!

GOD MY BROTHER IS SUCH A JERK!!!!!!

Not to take sides or anything..but in fairness it was only a lend of headphones. Saying that though people can react badly to rejection or negativity so I wouldn't take it too seriously. My sister and I still fight over silly things and she's nearly 22, yet we both never take it to heart. When you're living with someone things are bound to get heated but I bet you don't think your brother is that much of a jerk really. In a few months you won't even remember this (: FACT.

Sorry if this post seems a bit patronizing. I promise in a while when you've calmed down it won't seem that drastic though.

Yea, I've calmed down a lot. I just overreacted over the whole thing. I know I won't remember this by next week, lol. I have an anger problem so I said somethings I don't mean and just overreacted at the whole entire thing. Everything's cool now, though.

I just need to vent or else I would've done something I might have regretted.

I have problems with the language, too, although that's b/c in my family we don't use it. Acceptability comes from what were accustomed to. Does your family typically use such language, does he curse a lot in general?

Anyways, I think you might want to discuss with him directly your concerns about his use of such language around you or your sister. BUT, I think you and your sister might also ask yourselves and each other exactly why you chose to not share your headphones with him. One doesn't excuse the other, but if you're going to get down here and judge his actions, maybe you should judge your own, too?

Well, my parents have pulled a, um, 'tight leash' on his cursing. He isn't allowed to curse in the house. The reason why we didn't let him use our headphones is because I let him borrow mine once, and didn't get them back for a few days. When I did get them back, there was a knot in the cord >.< He lied and said it was like that when I gave it to him. But, it's whatever now. It's old history. He's actually kinda nicer then he has been. Oh well, that was forever ago and I regret what I said.
