I'm in a ranting mood now.
and mostly about 'The Boyfriend'. We've been together for 8 months and every time there's a special occasion / public holiday or something he goes away.
Either to work in London or skiing or something.
For example,
Valentine's Day, went working in London.
Easter, skiing with school.
Six months together, working in London
now end of summer holidays, down in London.
and he'll probably go down at halloween and New Years.
Urgh, and yes, he does get to pick when he goes down to work.
Just pisses me off so much, can we not have ONE special occasion together?
Apparently not.

I agree with Ray. Talk to him about it and say that you really want to spend an occasion together. Plan now to spend the next one together so that he can't make other plans.

I have and he's managed to make me feel like shit.
he cares more about the money then he does spending time with me.
oh.. if he cares more about the money , so you should probably walk away..
^ agrees.
If he said he would rather be working away from you than to be next to your side during the holidays, he doesn't seem to be both that committed and dependable. Yes money is good for expenses and whatnot but since he could actually choose when to work he should at least try to spend some time with you on the holidays.
