Today I was supposed to be going down town with my friend at 2:00 pm (there's nothing else to do around here) and yesterday she told me she'll text me if she's definitely coming, but I got a text from her saying she can't come because apparently she's "ill" and really tired - even though it was something past 11 am. She said she'll "see how she is" at 4, but she'll probably still be the same. She's pathetic - she's always "ill" and she's always so over dramatic and stupid about it. It's her mum's fault because of the way she always babies her, but ughhh. I think she just doesn't like going out.. but really, if she didn't want to go out in the first place, why arrange it with me and give me false hope? She knows I never have anything to do..

Uhm, I see. I suppose that sucks but if she always does this just find a new friend... she's the way she is, you can't change that because of what you want. Probably cause her mom babied her but still, if someone's got a bad headache or something.. why go out? if they aren't feeling well they don't want to go hang out, nothing wrong with that unless she avoids work or more mature things due to a dumb headache or whatever.

Yeah, I was pissed off when I posted this, so I might have been a bit unreasonable. She's never really do it before. We actually did end up going out today.

My best friend is like that all the time. She "agrees" to go places, then makes up far-out excuses for why she suddenly can't go, usually two or three hours before we're actually supposed to go do something. It's frustrating because I mold my weekends around dates like this and if she suddenly doesn't want to go then I have to change everything because of her. If she doesn't want to go, she should just say so—it saves time and frustration, because when your friend lies to you just for their own benefit, it gets pretty messy.

It is annoying, especially when you change your plans just to go somewhere and they just cancel. I know what you mean.
