Yes, I did. And it didn't even dawn on me until two days later that "hey, I'm kissing my cousin" but that lasted a total of a millisecond to when I thought "ah, screw it".

I know but like... surely you could've reasoned with yourself even in extreme... passion.

Oh believe me, I did. I wouldn't call it passion either. I did tons and tons and tons of research on it before I made any sort of move. I am quite well-educated on the subject.
We didn't do anything so there's nothing to worry about.

Well considering it's far more legal in northern states than southern states naturally I'd get pissed at the stupidity of those who make the stereotypes to begin with.
