Smallsmileys202 Rant Mum/The Future

How do we "kids/young adults" know what we want to be when were older?! How am we meant to decide what we want to persue, how do we know thats what we want in the future.

I DONT know what i want to be when im older and i dont know what to study..

i don't know where i want to work or work as, on top of that if i am interested in something my mum won't let me persue what i want to do.. its so frustratig, ive got to do what my mum wants me to do.. its my life not hers..

SHE TAKING OVER MY LIFE

do nursing.. do nursing..
i dont like blood mum.
well go on the dole then
i dont wanna be a low life mum (no offense)

WHY CANT SHE GET ITS MY LIFE NOT HERS, SHE TRYING TO MAKE ME MAKE UP FOR HER MISTAKES NOT BEEN A NURSE, JUST CAUSE SHE SITS IN AN OFFICE INSTEAD OF BEEN A NURSE ITS NOT MY FAULT.

Im the only child left where she can say " oh yes, that's my child, she went to uni, she's successful, and your kid is on dole, im so proud of my sarah" im the only one to make her proud and im failing.

ARGH

I wanna be a nurse!!;D

But that sounds annoying, REALLY annoying!
You just need to talk to her properly, say you like how she wants the best in you, but it can get a bit much maybe? And you want to do a job you want to do, because theres no point doing a job and hating it

My mum keeps going on about me working with kids when i've told her so many times before that i don't wanna work with kids but she still carries on trying to persuade me to. Really annoying -_-

My parents restrict what I'm "allowed" to do to. It makes me want to do something dramatic just to see if they give a crap (running away from home, bunking school etc) not that that's the ideal thing to do. Just find some powerful way of making them appreciate your own judgement and decisions. If you really hate the idea of nursing then do something else, you'll only have to live at home for a little while then you'll be free. And if they use money to keep you there then you can always get a job to earn that money and be totally independant.

This is pretty much exactly what I'd do too!
Follow the path you want to follow, Talk to your mum and try to get her to understand how you feel about this. It is your life after all.

As far as I'm concerned you only get one life; from my perspective Sarah you have the motivation and commitment to do what you enjoy doing in life...and I don't think you should let your mum get in the way of your goals.

So, take the course that you want to take. I mean, is there anything she can do to stop you?
