I got my exam results back today and they are the single worst set of results I've ever got in my entire life. Despite all the hard work I put in and struggling not to cut myself in the process, I only got Cs and Ds!!! Fuck that, now I'm screwed because no self-respecting university's gonna want to look at me now with shitty grades like that. Maybe my parents are right, maybe I am just a lazy sod who needs to get his act together. But if I give it my all as far as a lack of motivation would let me then what hope is there? The only bloody reason I'm still alive and not being scraped off the ground beside a 10 storey block of flats now is because I could never do that to my parents. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!! Why does no one fucking get it?

Don't worry about it, school's not the end of the world. I didn't get all the results I wanted either but oh well.

C's and D's? That's not terrible Callum! I left High-School with C's and D's myself; I managed to get a place at college and work my way up to a BTEC National Diploma with the highest grade (equivalent to three A Level's). GCSE's are a stepping-stone, nothing more. If you're wanting to attend Uni then it may be slightly more difficult, but it's still possible. I reckon the best course of action though would be to go to college and obtain a fairly decent grade in a related subject to what you want to do in Uni; it shows you're willing to put effort into educating yourself and getting plenty of good grades.

You've had to put up with a lot; you've done well to get this far - don't give up now!

@Kirk btw, these were AS level results, GCSEs seem so easy now I wish I could go back and do them all again.

I'm retaking one next year, the result wasnt bad but it could be better, retakes!

Well the thing is, should I do retakes and divide my attention between multiple exams or not retake and just focus doing better in one exam?
