But on topic:

Basically it means you can have your thoughts and it can be a dream basically.. but in reality it may not be the same so taking action on some thoughts can lead to either something good or bad.

But to stop your thoughts controlling you then you would have to think about not doing what you were thinking about. I see what the quotes getting at but when you think about it, it doesn't make much sense haha
