Default Sigh, I guess.

I was supposed to change schools. One might say I was a pretty happy person when I heard that I 'could'. I wasn't ecstatic because things almost never go the way I want them to, so I did't want to be over-enthusiastic.

I hate my school. I hate the students. I was glad to be able to go to a place where finally I could TALK in English, at the very least. It was a pretty awesome school too. I looked into it a lot. It had an international status, so I would be FINALLY able to socialize properly with people from all over the world.

I could also learn the subjects I wanted to, AND NEEDED to learn. Instead of the ones I was/am forced to, for no reason whatsoever. Sure, my family were a little appalled that I was going to "quit" my current school, when all I had was 6 more months. But, time is of the essence, I didn't have the time or ability to make them fully grasp why I needed to do this, however, they did understand.

I was literally one day away from going. One day away from completely revolutionizing my life, forever. I had packed my bags, got my hopes at an all time high. There was the case of an entrance exam, however it was just to determine the amount of skill I already had.

Which is when my dad asks me to re-consider and not go.

Which was crazy. However, I had to spend a half hour of him explaining to me that he had no job security. And that he could lose his job anyday and all that. Which I somewhat understood; the economy was falling. And the new school would literally be a 100 Times more expensive than my local one. He also mentioned how I hadn't 'suffered enough' to understand what it was I was doing, which was a personal insult, and he has no right to make that claim seeing how the only thing that connects us is a paper document, nothing more.

But mostly, it was the money. Which really did bother me, because we did have enough money for this, I was sure of it. Which is what I don't get. Why should good education of the highest level be restricted to the rich, instead of everyone?

No, the 'scholarship' programs are too little, and provide little benefit. Of course, if they fees were much lower, everoyne would want to go to them. Which is why I feel the need for a better testing standard.

Why is everyone given the same test? What the fuck is up with that? Yeah, I'm complaining, because no two people are similar, their thought process, skill set, intuition, capability... What the hell difference does a bloody test make? Which would make you say 'Does that mean everyone needs to be specially taught?' No, because if you're doing something you love, you'd find a way to associate to it and learn it.

I can ace most of my tests, but I stopped working hard because I see no point in this system. I feel like institutions force you to be the same. People who don't develop the ability or capability to comprehend life. I went form an a grade to a D because I stand firm in my belief, or at least my sub-conscience does.

I was on the periphery of ecstasy when I was about to go. Now,these days I'm just tired. I'm not mad, just disappointed.

Everyone has the right to an education. But, not the best one.

Sorry, I haven't written this out as nicely as I would have. Like I said, I'm just to tired. What I'd love is a good long coma. And that's not me being emo. I just think I want a nice long sleep.

Our local School is a Great school , even better than schools you need to pay , because we have a Great headmistress who organises evrything ! instead of being a dick , the System in greece is very difficult in order to get to a Uni , thats the reason Greece has a good Education ( due to Lots of students going to Highschool and pass it) ...

Anyway , i see your problem , lots of families have no money , We Dont either (Daaa! im from Greece hahaha!)

So you can find schools who are not for ritch people and still run Good , but i get your point , yeah its not fair :/

sometimes we put up walls , not to keep people out, but to see who cares enough to knock them down.

Haha, it certainly sounds organized.

That seems to be it, a lot of countries have a decent system, so it's not IMpossible. Which frustrates me even more.

Who is the Best?

the one who is going to success in Such school? and will Sweat!

Ah yes, 'can', it's not horrid. It's just much different. Also, I'm talking about a local curriculum, as opposed to an IB one.
