The dance is designed for a certain percentage of the population. Only that percentage will enjoy it. I didnt enjoy it. So I suppose you're not alone in how you're thinking.

I guess it's only for people with dates or large groups of friends though. It doesn't cater to certain kinds of anti-social people. Or just people who don't like to dance.
I wouldn't say for anti-social people. Like Allan said, its for certain demographics: Those who are popular, comfortable in their own skin, nhave a adate, or all three.

Its the fact that people have been talking it up so much. The parade sucked( but did like throwing candy) we lost the football game and it was a total bore until the last 10 mins. I mean I really don't see the whole point of it.........

I never went to any of the ones we had... well, I went to one in Jr. High and the only thing that happened was I was being stalked by a bunch of perverted guys who picked on me during class all the time and were only following me and treating me nice because I was in a skirt...
...Yeah. My hand got sore from slapping and punching people all night.
I never saw much point in school dances to begin with. I mostly just ever went if there was something mildly entertaining or if my friends begged me to go just so they could ditch me for some guy they met 10 seconds ago...
And that's why I brought snacks and water.
But at every dance I've ever been to i was bored out of my skull and I only had my best friends nerdy little brother for company and he just kept insulting me the whole time.
And that was only at a Jr. High Homecoming!
But yeah, I never saw the point.
