Default Screw you.

Screw you guys at school. I'm tired of being looked at like I'm an alien, I'm tired of being called fat and ugly, I'm tired of being reminded of how no boy at school wants to date me. I don't want to date any of them anyways. Why would I want to date someone who's so fixated on how I look that they can't even treat me like a normal human being? Why would I want to be friends with someone who thinks that being attractive is more important than being a good person?

Being at the airport for 15 hours really opened up my eyes. Everyone is a different shape, size, and color. No person looks anything like another. There is no standard of beauty because everyone is unique! Why would I even try to worry about looking like someone else when I can look like myself? I'm intelligent, I can read people well, I love school (yes, I said it), I have four amazing friends, I work hard, I'm taking steps towards losing weight and being healthier and overall I just don't have the capacity to want to please everyone. So why try? I'm a kind, quiet (but not shy), hard-working, easy-going, non-argumentative and a smart person and maybe someday I'll have something to offer the world. I think I'd be happier just working towards helping myself first before I try to worry about anyone else.

Maybe my trip to South Dakota was a good thing.

Good for you, Dee! Best of luck for you once you graduate.

Thanks Jared. I'm definitely never expecting to date even if I'm not looking for a boyfriend and I'm just being myself but...I'd rather not have all the stress. Oh well if I don't go to Prom. Who cares? It's not like anyone at my school is worthy of dating anyways.

The people at your school sound like dicks. They aren't worthy of dating, going to prom with, having as a boyfriend, etc. They are just immature excuses for so-called teenagers. They are the ones who need some help, not you. I am glad your learning to be yourself because you do seem like a nice girl. Some one who actually has a cell or some sense in their brain will come along for you.. Trust me.

I live in a rich community, everyone here (most everyone at least) is spoilt and it shows. I'm just not like that. I don't have fancy, nice clothes, a super amazing cell phone, a $50,000 car and I'm not attractive nor do I have enough money for surgery. So of course I'm ostracized. But oh well. If I move to South Dakota or Nebraska or maybe even to Flagstaff maybe people will be nicer and not as severe about unattractive girls who aren't as well-off as everyone else seems to be.

I'm glad you feel that way, when you gain confidence like that it's much easier to blow off the nasty comments! Don't let them spoil your stride, your on a roll! Also stop worrying about boys, focus on yourself and then maybe later when you are not expecting or trying to get a bf, you never know what might happen

I'm almost 100% sure that no matter what I do, I won't be good enough for a man, no matter who he is. But oh well. I'm not going to worry about it. Worrying about it just makes my life miserable. I'd rather be ignorant and somewhat happy. Ignorance (can be) bliss.

I know, I can't change my physical ugliness or my weight (trust me, 6+ months of dieting has done nothing for me), and I can't change the fact that I'm not dateable, but I might as well not worry about it. Maybe one day, somehow a man will actually take interest in me and I can date for more than a week. But even that's a stretch. Like I said though, ignorance is bliss. I might as well not worry about it at all and just be a bit happier.

No one at my school is worth dating, that's for sure. They're spoilt brats and the girls here are beautiful so they expect beautiful girls. Maybe when I move away I might have a better change (even if its only a slimmer chance) at finding someone who isn't looking down on me because I'm so unappealing.

Like I said, better to be ignorant and uncaring.
