I thoroughly love how quickly and how easily people forget things. I asked point blank when my boss asked me to step up into management... I asked point blank about Thanksgiving and Christmas. I reminded him that I do not have any family here; that I'm here for school. That the only way I would step up was if he could promise me that I would get time off for the holidays to go home.

Well we're to that point now. I put in my requests. I got shot down the first time around because apparently I wasn't thinking about the store or my team mates (the other managers). So, I revised my request off. I took my 3 day request off for Thanksgiving and turned it into 2. (Which is really only 1 since we're already closed for T-day).

I turned my 7 day request for Christmas into a 4 day request off.

And STILL? ITS NOT GOOD ENOUGH?

And WHAT DO YOU MEAN I DON'T HAVE ANY PTO? I worked for one year as a full time Team Lead. That qualifies me for 5 days of PTO. THAT'S THE FUCKING POLICY. Are you telling me that I lost those 5 days when I stepped up to manager? That I now have to work 2 YEARS AS A FULLTIME MANAGER TO GET 5 DAYS OF PTO? So I got screwed and have to put in 3 years to get 5 fucking days off with pay.

Hell, we give our regular employees better deals. You put in a year of full time hours and we give you 5 days off with pay... only don't take the promotions cause they'll screw you hardcore with it.

But whatever. Work is not worth missing Christmas with my family. So, really its in your ball park. Deny my requests if you want. I'll just replace my requests with my 2 week notice.
