I feel your pain, brother, for my entire lacrosse career up until about 9th grade (kindergarten-9th grade, which is 10 years) I was belittled by my team mates and competitors because I had been playing for so long and I wasn't an utter superstar. I was just an average player. I played on the second line of attack (like offence) and I showed up to every single practice, rain or shine or sick or well. But I wasn't the best player.
After puberty whooped my ass pretty good I'm a bit better, but still far from the best, despite this being my 11th season as a player.
The thing is, don't play for other people. If you enjoy playing then who cares. YES! It is VERY nice to win, i personally enjoy winning quite a bit, but if you go out there against whomever your playing and you have fun then who really cares if you're any good? Maybe your team mates, but you're not playing for them. You're playing for yourself, and for your own personal enjoyment.
Don't let your own lack of athleticism be your downfall, just go out an have fun, and don't worry about it.
