Just ignore them. You know what you are and what you should be labeled as (if you think you should be labeled at all). If they actually think you are something that you aren't, they probably aren't worth your time at all. They probably are closeminded and not smart enough to figure out what's real and what's not. Best not to associate with people like that. Finish the project and move on. Don't worry too much about it.

On a side note, I feel as if he was using hyperbole to prove a point. I highly doubt he's homophobic. I think a few of the responses here are a bit unfair to him.

When people say that to me i simply say

"Sure am , the King ! " and sarcasm my self aswell , its fun to let them Think and see that you are not irritated or hurt ...
