I don't think that this should reflect on Santorum. It's just some business man that supports him through a Super Political action committee. Unfortunately, people will let it reflect on him. Which is too bad, really.

I don't think you can let someone like this affect your political thoughts on Sen. Santorum... I happen to really like a lot of his policies, and even though this buisnessman is an idiot, that doesn't mean Sen. Santorum is. A lot of the people who support Santorum are mega-conservatives.

I agree that a politician shouldn't be criticised or applauded by what his/her donors say, do, or belief. This wasn't Santorum talking it was somebody else. I'm not against contraception, that isn't murder like abortion is.

But hey you gotta love that liberal media interviewer too, Andrea Mitchell. Wasn't it great that she said i'm going to drop this subject but then went back to it when she knew she knew she could take down the conservative?

Did the guy really say anything terrible? Maybe it wasn't pc and maybe you don't agree with it, but really wasn't all he saying is that life has changed? Idk who the guy is, but assume he is as old as dirt, and really just giving a history lesson of how contraception used to be, in a very odd, strange, creepy way.

On a related note, I'm kind of disappointed with the SC ruling that allows these Super PAC's. It would have been nice to see some sort of limit set in place.

Super PACs will be allowed to continue until after the 2012 election, as I think it should be.

They'll continue for a long time (or similar ventures) because of Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. If the Federal government can place limits on individual spending on campaigns, I would argue that they should also limit spending from corporations and unions. I agree with justice Stevens when he wrote, "A democracy cannot function effectively when its constituent members believe laws are being bought and sold." And, regardless of reality, that decision does make it seem as if that's what's being done.
