My rant: I have so much homework and quizzes lately.


My English teacher decides to give us a lot of homework since she believes English is the most important class. She usually gives 4 chapters to read, annotation, and to write summaries. She also makes you read various of other scripts and compare and contrast. She usually makes you do worksheets and questions to go along with the readings which is a pain! Then, she decides to give you quizzes (usually 30 questions) and graded for 60 points each. Which doesn't help anyone's grade.

For example, she will give you 2 papers to write, 4 chapters to read, summaries, annotation, and compare and contrast. OH, and did I forget those annoying questions? I do not want to do about 15 questions for chapters.

If you don't do the English homework, she usually gives a call home. Or, if you fail an English quiz or test or any assignment. She's usually harsh on grading.

On a paper I wrote last week, she finally graded it. Today, I got it back with a 61% because she didn't like the font. She corrected 2 mistakes and took -3 points each. So, in total it was 6 points I lost. For the font, it was 3 points. So, now it's -9 points.

I extended 3 pages of what she asked for, so I lost 12 points (3 points for each page you extend).

To top it off, she wants my parents to sign my essay and turn it in and she'll be giving them a phone call.

My essay wasn't bad, she said I had great things on it, but she was rather disappointed.

I don't get 61% on papers...

It dropped my grade from a 103% to a 91%.....

But, at least she gives extra credit. >.< Looks like I'll be stuck doing that for about 3 weeks..

I hate her so much.

This is my second year with her. Oh, joy.

Oh I hate dealing with teachers like that. Unfortunately, it seems to happen more often than it should.

Good am I lucky for living in NY and passing the English Regents already in january. Now the teacher just reads in the class and she doesn't know what to do when we finish that story.

Sorry to hear, I hate when the teacher act tat way.
