Well Itachi, what are the chances of falling in love with them before you stated t love them? if you loved them before they started smoking, then yeah, bearable, but would you be able to fall in lvoe with someone who smokes? And if you fell in love with them, then found out they were pretending they didn't smoke... might not be the greatest relationship to be in anyways

Not sure what to say there... :l Everyone falls in love with different people, some smoker's, other's non-smoker's.

From my personal experience I have fallen in love with someone that smokes before, that's not one of the main asset's I tend to look at when falling in love or dating, it's not my main personal feature I dislike in someone. It's something I can live with.

If that was the case then the problem would be about trust and not specifically about smoking?

Sure enough if they lied then that's a big problem concerning trust and honesty. It would not only make me feel like I couldn't trust them as much as I did before, but it would also concern me that the relationship wasn't good because they didn't feel like they could trust me enough to confine in their personal habits.

fair enough, good answers all. I personally would never be able to fall in love with a smoker... some people say that makes me a bastard, or a perfectionist... or just an idiot. I take all the names.

The only reason I said the last thing is because my mother pulled that stunt, sort of, with my step dad. They made a promise to each other, that if one of them quit smoking, the other would too, he did, she said she did, and went right on smoking.

That entire experience has conditioned me pretty badly towards smokers.

Ahh, I see you went through some traumatising experiences to do with smokers, and thing's like that leave a scar. I don't believe it makes you any less of a person just because you would never fall in love with a smoker.
That's not right at all.
Every single person is entitled to have their dislike's and their likes.
Just because you dislike dating smoker's it doesn't make you a bastard or a perfectionist. (Although I don't mind perfectionist's, one of my best friend's is a perfectionist and he's fine enough )

I guess something like that affects all around. I've met my fair share of idiot's that smoke...mainly a real idiot called JayJay. -.-
So I can see, somewhat, why you dislike them. But I've met some really nice people that just happen to smoke, so I don't judge a person straight away. But that's just me.

agreed. I think there are an awful lot of stupid teens that I've met... and an ever greater percent of teens who smoke are just annoying and even more stupid. Therein lies the generalization. Still, I try not to judge right away. Just hard sometimes... when there are so many idiots in this world..... ahaha, I hate a lot of things...
