why do people cheat and what goes though there head when they do? if you are not happy then why do you be the bigger person and break it off before you go out with someone else?
There are several reasons why people decide to cheat. It could be that they aren't getting as much sex as they need from the relationship they're currently in but still love the person. They might be bored with the sex they have and want to try something new. Then there's the thrill of doing something forbidden and enjoying the risk of being caught. People could cheat out of hatred or spite for the other person. For men mainly, it can be an ego boost to be able to get another girl into bed.
I agree with you though, If you want to sleep with someone else, at least have the decency to break it off with the person you're currently with.

I don't think you can say there are seven reasons because you don't know why someone cheats and if they do how can they still love the person? if they loved them sex would not be an issue.

A mixture of excitement and not considering the consequences. Cheating adds a level of danger, and danger adds to the excitement. I know that some men blame it on the "hunter" or that it's in their biological nature to get with as many women as possible but I don't really buy into that explanation.
When you cheat you don't always consider the consequences. When people say "I made a mistake" it sounds so lame, but that's the best way I can think of explaining it. You don't think at all at the time of the consequences, and in a way you think to yourself, it's just sex. I can still love my girlfriend and have sex with other people. I'm NOT saying that I should have sex with other people, it's just that I could and still love my girlfriend.
It's that thought process that leads you to cheat relatively guilt free for a while. You sort of think what she doesn't know won't hurt her...so long as she doesn't know then she won't be hurt by it, and it won't affect your feelings towards your girlfriend as "it's just sex." It doesn't mean you don't love your girlfriend, and it doesn't mean you ever had feelings towards the girl you cheated on her with.

You can love your girlfriend but sleep with other people? then you don't know what love is and to say you love someone after doing that is a joke. If you love someone you don't cheat, you know because you LOVE them! I think people use the word love to easy these days. Yeah I love you hun but I am just sleeping with the girl down the street, my arse you love someone.
you can't love someone and cheat on them and if you do then you don't really love that person as much as you say you do and sex is never just sex there is alway meaning behind it and it may or may not have strong meaning but there is meaning
