ok i sent a message to a girl i asked to be my valentine but the reply i got confused me

message i sent:
To ask you to be my Valentine
I'd have to talk to you,
Something that in all this time
I've managed not to do.
I'd have to get past "Hi!" somehow
To show you that I care,
But the right time is never now,
Especially when you're there.

It's as if a wall of fear,
Transparent yet profound,
Came hurtling up as you come near,
Cutting off all sound.

I fear I won't know what to say
And strike you as a fool,
Or you'll be glad to get away,
Polite not to be cruel.

Easier to dream than act,
To hope than to find out,
So fearful of the force of fact
I wait in fear-filled doubt.

But now the day of love has come,
And I must cross its line,
And so I ask you through this poem
To be my Valentine.

I think she is trying to dump you without hurting your feelings. Why don't you ask her?

Were not going out so dumping me is not in the question and the only thing i could think of is she may of been avoiding the question for some reason not sure though

well did u send her this card and u have nvr really talked to her?? That would be very bold and brave. But a lil too bold for most girls.unless u look like drake, they wanna get to know u first

she may be avoiding u but idk .. At least she didnt call u a creep or stalker

if honest i think this was sent by email or txt whichever ....she probably thinks its just you sending a forward not something specific to her ...... girls like things that are specific to them not just a forwarded message or seem like a forward message.

yh i have know her for 6years+ but we lost contact for a couple of years but i went out with a few friends a couple of week ago and she was there and i endup waking up next to her in her bed so im confused why would she want me in her bed then sort of avoid answering a question like i asked

correct it was sent on f/b but she knows i like poetry and i dont think she would think it was a forwarded message well hope not anyway as it took a long time to write that

so u had sex or not? Were u both drunk? And u two havent spoke of ur feelings or lack of feelings since waking up in her bed

not sure if we had sex yes i was extremely drunk as for her im not sure and i have not told her my feelings for her but i have dropped hints that i like but thinking now dropping hints probably the wrong thing to do

It's possible that she was turning you down gently, but like has been said it's also likely that she just thought it was a forwarded message and therefore you werent actually asking her to be your valentine. Her response sounds like she might be thinking that.

I think your best to ask her and speak to her, as at the sounds of things you two have stuff you need to talk over anyway.
