i like this guy i've been best friends with since i was 6, and want to tell him how i feel. but i live 2 hours drive away from him and only see him 5-6 times a year, but we often fb chat and talk on the phone. is is acceptable to tell him how i feel via letter? and if so, any tips on how to break it to him?

Jasmine, I suppose you can share any way you're comfortable, but if you know him for so long, I'd wonder what your reluctance is with being more direct?

my reluctance is due to the fact that i told him this 2 years ago and got WTF as a reply. Since then, we're become a lot closer as friends. i do want to tell him, but an hesistant due to the fact that i don't want to be rejected again, or lose him as a friend is he doen't feel the same

Understandable, but two years is a long time. Tell him what you said here and see what happens.

This is what i have written, if possible can i hjave some advice on how i could improve it before i send it on monday:

I’m writing this because there’s something that’s been on my mind. As you know, we’ve been friends since primary school and because of this I feel I can trust you and tell you my feelings without the fear of you blabbing them to everyone. For a while now, I have felt maybe my feelings of friendship have gone beyond the ‘friend-zone’ with you. I just wanted to know how you felt about this and where I stand.
I understand completely if you don’t feel the same way and I hope that if this is the case, we can still remain good friends.
