With my ex, I stopped talking to her ignored her, delete her from my contacts and it worked. Told my friend to do this when he broke up with his ex too and told him he was being a loser being emo and cutting himself(may sound harsh but if I supported him the same way as his other "friends" he would had just dwelled on it more) and he got over her fairly fast after that.

Like we're not dating, there's just mutual feelings so I don't wanna lose her completely. It might be the only way to get over her though.

Well yeh that's the only way I've gotten over people I've liked. I guess you could always try not to speed up the process of liking her, most of my friends see the girl they like as perfection and this just makes things worse for them. I know one of my friends that saw this girl and claimed her to be "the one" in a short period of time...

While you still have feelings for the girl, you need to move on somehow. How so? You can try to avoid her the best way you can by ignoring her messages. It takes time to move on. If you take little steps and not pay attention to her, the feelings will go away eventually. Sometimes they don't. If you want her to stay in your life, try being friends with her and try not to flirt and avoid talking like you did when you really liked her.

What both David and Salmon have said have been quite correct:Ignore the fuck out of her. I did that, and while it sucked and was impossibly hard, it paid off.You need to pretend like she never existed, but don't forget any mistakes you made.

It will be painful at first, but it will eventually get better. Trust me, it will.
