So prom ticktcts are going to sell next week for $40 bucks each, and they go up about $10 bucks for each 2 weeks that they sell them (I think but it's going to be expensive), I have the money to pay for a ticket and a date but the only problem is I don't have anyone to go with. So I've been going trying to find out who I could go with, sadly none of the girls that I'm friends with don't want to go (I guess the stigma from last years prom got to them). Even if it was just a friend that would be the date for night is just fine with me, I don't need a girlfriend to go to a prom. I've even tried to find a group of friends to go but no luck there.

So like yesterday, I added a girl who sits by me in health class -insert all the good things about this girl here- shes a junior and what really caught my eye was I saw a post on my feed saying that she wished someone would surprise her with flowers. (Desperate much? But I get where shes going at.) So me and this other guy where commenting on what flowers to get her and stuff like that. (She hasn't responded cause she hasn't gone on yet)
The other guy was making fun of her saying that he would get her a venus fly trap. (Yes....I know).....

So I thought about it today about what I saw and I just had a crazy idea, give her the flowers or a flower (Meaning one) and see if she would like to come with me to prom. Even if I think about doing it I won't get her a rose or anything that might sound too desperate. I looked online and found that the Iris Flower means friendship. So I really don't know what todo at this point. Just a thought thou.

The type of flower shouldn't be a big deal to her. The old cliche of "it's the thought that counts" comes into play here. I'm sure she'll appreciate any type of flower. :)

But if you're really unsure, just wait for her to get online and see her response. Hope things go well though. :)

Lol, Thank you guys, well I talked over with it my mom. At first she said "maybe" but then no.... But I just got on face book and her status was this:
"being single is getting old."

So now im like the hell with it, I will try to ask her out and if she thinks she interested I will throw in a a prom ticket if need be. I really have nothing to lose at this point....So wish me luck. (I proably wont do the flower thing, I think her just say she does not want to be single anymore is a good sign for me that is.)

Also I would like to add that I don't know this girl very much, I just met her this year so does it really matter up to this point?

It doesnt matter. I asked out a girl i barely knew to a school dance last year based purely on look. Turns out she's a great person as well, were really good friends now. It could be the same for you
