Or she could be wondering why you keep turning around to look at her 'cause you're freaking her out?

It wouldn't be embarrassing to just go into class and ask out a girl you've never spoken to before, it'd be stupid. The outcome would be embarrassing.
If you can't even ask your friends to swap seats so that you might be closer to her, therefore allowing you to speak to her, then I don't think you should be thinking of asking her out. That's all you need to do really; swap sweats with your friends and start talking to her when you can. I'm sure you'll figure out what the best move would be from there.

You need to speak to her more, hang out with her at break times and luch but don't be really over the top. I think Montreal's idea about switching places with your mates is a good idea so that you two can talk more

Bu tdon't just rush into things or you will probably ruin things just be yourself

Well start with "Hi, how're you doing?" or just a simple "hey" when you see her, and don't forget to smile (Try not to screw up the smile [Yes, it can happen]). Then get to swap seats with your friends in the class you have with her and whenever it's appropriate; talk to her about whatever you have. School, music, movies, friends, you can even ask her what she did on the weekend. It's not that hard.
And when she's with friends you can do the exact same; say hi, ask her how she is, what she did over the weekend. That's about all the help anyone can give you, you're going to have to figure out the rest for yourself (And there isn't even that much left to figure out)
