Default Don't know what to say

So, my girlfriend has been looking into the knee surgery she needs, and she's worried about it, and I don't know what to say...

If i don't say much about it, she thinks i dont care, but i dont know how to respond...

I'm sorry to hear she has to have surgery; I hope recovers as quickly as possible!

Just be there for her? Keep checking she's doing okay and be a little more loving than usual. Make sure you give her cuddles from time to time to show her that you care and treat her with extra sensitivity. You don't necessarily need to plunge into deep conversation about it, just reassure her about it

Just tell her what she wants to hear.

It's really the time for humanity to take a dump.

Well there's a few things you can do.

Look up the operation online and find out about it, discuss it with her, she might be really afraid if she doesn't know what's involved in her procedure.

You can also try be there for her when she comes out of surgery and look up good recovery/psyio exercises for her to do.

You could make her a care package, with a magazine some chocolates and something else, to show you really care.

Probably the most important thing you can do is give her a really big hug and tell her you'll be there for her.

Be supportive.

Tell her you are going to get through it together, and that you're always here. Make her a care package, and just do all the research you can so you can be integral in her recovery. She will really appreciate the extra attention, and everyone loves to be taken care of when they're sick.

Send her my regards, also. I hope everything goes smoothly for you both. s
