Alright. So my boyfriend got Skyrim for Christmas, and I know how that game can completely swallow people.. So I was a bit worried. Though, he's assured me that he'd send me a text every now and again to let me know he's alive. Well, I'm a gamer too, so I understand completely how he feels and how a game can just waste your time without even realizing it...

However. Since then he's only texted me once (the day after Christmas) and he doesn't reply to my texts or calls at all. I'm getting worried that he's using the game as an excuse to ignore me. What should I do??

Have you ever played Skyrim? You'd understand completely without any doubt it may be something else if you've played it. It's probably the most addicting game of the year.

Tell him if he ever wants a chance to get up in dat then he needs set his priorities straight.

If you're a gamer yourself, I'd say go 'round and play it with him
Maybe have a talk with him though, just to let him know that you need a bit more attention than a game does

Yeah just tell him that it's not right and if he still wants the relationship hes got to straighten up, and if he doesn't then he's a loser and why would you want to be with someone like that?

There are some who understand, Skyrim is one of the most addictive games on the market, but it has very low replay value, he should be finished with the game, with the rate he is playing, withing a week or two, I know it sounds weird to wait, but check in on him, and if you start playing you will understand.

Well I'm sorry too hear that, I'm a huge gamer, I'm addicted to World of Warcraft, with a strict raid schedule, I'm also playing through Skyrim, yet I still reply to texts instantly, put down the controller if she rings or meet her when she wants to, so I'm not entirely sure that the game is to blame here, I think it's just being scapegoated, but of course, it's a case-by-case scenario.

Pfft yeah I've played Skyrim for like... two hours... best two hours of my life. xD And I do want to give him enough space to play it, I don't wanna sound needy or anything. I was just wondering how much time I should give him before getting mad...

And I did suggest me going to his house and watching him play, but of course I haven't heard back from him :/

My girlfriend went into hiding for just over a week after this game came out. If you want to go over there, assuming he ever contacts back, then by all means. That's what I did.
