I really want to graduate Summa Cum Laude (that's usually the top 20 or so students; the future doctors) and waste it by going to the Art Institute of Illinois-Chicago. There I want a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Fashion Design, which can get me a job as a tailor. They don't make much money, but that's my career of choice.
But my parents don't really support my decision to move so far away and waste my "smarts" by going into an artistic field. They'd rather I become a doctor or engineer, neither of which I have any interest in.

Personally, that doesn't really mean jack shit. I know pleanty of people with high GPA's and most of the are bubble brains (ie: little to no common sense).
A high GPA doesn't make one intelligent. [Like me for example, mine is low because I never turned in my work... hell, half the time I never did it. I knew it. Just didn't feel like it. Therefore my GPA is the opposite of my intelligence. Come to think of it, I don't even know my GPA.]
By the way, I wasn't insinuating anything, I was only saying your GPA is irrelevant to spelling.

I want to do something in early child development, but I'll probably end up working with older children because the pay is usually better. I would be teaching in preschool this fall as well, if my school hadn't shut that down. Instead, I hope to take Teach Cadet my senior year and work in early elementary through that.
