The temp agency that hired me in June FINALLY called me to come into work tomorrow morning for first shift (meaning I have to wake up at 4:30am... bleh). I'll be doing this job five days a week (Monday-Friday) from 7am-3pm.
Thing is, I also have an appointment at another place (customer service, answering phones, basically sitting at a computer all day) which would probably be from 3pm-10pm.
If I asked the other place if it would be okay to work around my first job's schedule, would they do it? I don't have changing hours. It is and will always be 7am-3pm. I'm just afraid of waking up at 4:30am every morning, working till 10, then going to sleep right away. I'm afraid if it will be overwhelming or not... ugh. Help?
i think it's too stressful and you'll be sleeping only 6 hours tops.. your brain on't handle t for too long.. that's just my opinion.. besides, you have no interval between your first job and your second.. and i am sure the 2 places aren't one next to another.. so, either you are late for the second job or you leave the first job earlier...which i think the boss won't be happy
i completely agree with daniela. i had two jobs once, and as well as being tiring phsically, its also emotionally tiring. how come you would be up at 4:30 am tho? are you taking both jobs on now? if so then the other one should work around your fixed hours no problem. but i certainly wouldn't advise it, its crappy :( if i were you i'd go for whichever had better dollars lol

15 hour days is hard, very hard. I worked 7.15am - 10.30pm for a week and I know it's something I couldn't do every single week. If you are certain you want two jobs then I suggest that you work 7 - 3 in your first job and then something like 5 - 9 at your second job. This will give you a bit of time to relax, have something to eat, maybe a nap and get yourself ready for your second job. After you finish at 9 you'll then have an hour or so to unwind before you have to go to bed.
Work 60+ hours a week is a hard life to live but it is possible and if you're sure you can cope with it hen go for it.

Don't forget to be awesome.
Thanks guys. I had my first day at the 7-3 job yesterday, and I quit. It was basically a sweatshop job. We weren't allowed to sit down for a whole 8 hours, except on our 15-minute break. It was hell.
that's tough, i work in a hotel and am on my feet for hours at a time too. you should never do something ur not happy with, so good on you for telling them to stick it lol
