Default electronics help

if anyone knows anything about electronics just let me know this i need to learn it
so if i have two series resistors at 100k and another at 100k i need to need to calculate the resistor's resistance and i know the one above is 200r but when it comes to parallel resistors thats when it gets confusing for example with series resistors it's easy all you have to do is ad up the (k) to get the resistance but with parallel resistor's its a whole new sum and involved and the teaches way is to confusing so if you have different ways that you fins the resistance of parallel resistors please enlighten me p.s don't just tell me to talk to the teacher cos i just want alternate ways to do the sum
