okay so i started college on monday. its been a pretty great experience so far. i love it here i really do.
so anyway, i move in on snday and i meet my room mate face to face for the first time. she seems like a pretty cool girl. we hang out alot and meet some new people and we got this whole group of people together that we ran around with and ate lunch with and stuff. well after about 2 days of being here i knowtice that some of the food i brought to last me 5 weeks was missing and that someone was usign my shampoo and conditioner. so i asked her and she tells me she hasnt touched it at all. and i say okay and jsut keep going.
i really dont know when we started having problems but she didnt bring anythign for the room accept clothes and her pictures to hang every where. she didnt bring any food (theres no meal plan in the summer) she didnt bring toliet paper (we have our own bathroom that we share with the girls beside us) she didnt bring anything to clean up the room no school supplies nothing at all. and i brought all of the above and more because i live far away and its not like i can run home and grab it. so....
shs using all of my stuff, eating my food, using my stuff, and my laptop too. and she didnt turn it off right and it almost crashed i had to fix it several times. so i asked her to stop using my things and she didnt like it at all. and got smart to me. and then continued to use all my things. so i called my mom and asked what i should do and she gave me advice so i tryed hiding my laptop and my food but when u share a room wtih another girl its pretty hard to do.
she goes out and partys alot and i dont at all. one night she comes home high and drunk and is making alot of noise. well when i came to the room that afternoon the room was a mess and it was all her things. i keep mine nice and neat and up and out of the way in respect for anyone that comes in my room and her so that my things arnt everywhere. its jst a mess. so anyway thats the night that she comes in high and i did have friends in my room and she walks in and grabs some of my food and starts eating. i grabed it out of her hand and told her that that food has to last me 5 weeks and shes eatin almost all of it. she had clothes all over the floor and stuff so i asked her to pick them up because our room was a mess and i have guest over. so she gets smart to me and throws them across the room. and finally left layed in bed. about 10 min later she gets up and leaves. well that night she had a guy stay in her bed with her and they had sex with me right there. okay one that is nasty and two im in the room!!! are you serious!!! but i ignored it and went to sleep.
the next day she goes out and partys again with some of our friends. and again i stay in the room with some of mine because i dont party much and expecially not on week days when we have class the next day. and these classes determine rather we get to come here in the fall or not.
when she came back she comes and packs up some stuff and goes and stays in this girls room. when we went to class that next day everything was fine we all went out to eat lunch and everythin.
well that day after class she didnt come back to the room. and i didnt really care, but at about 11 30 or so like 4 girls come in my room and start getting her stuff. they asked me where her purse was and i really didnt know so i said i have no clue and one of the girls get in my face and is like what the f**k do you mean you dont know. i said i been doing laundry all day and i dont even know what her purse looks like now please get outta my room.
that next day i was late for class becase my room mate had come in and unpluged my alarm clock and ran out. i know it was her because shes the only other one with a key and i sleep with my door unlocked when i woke up it was locked. so after class i went to the housing office and reqested to change rooms asap. because im not dealing with people taking my things and using all my stuff (without asking) and then to have other people come in our room and act like that to me. no i dont need that. so when i got back from the housing office i went to my room and i guess she had the same idea because all her stuff was out of my room.
now i have my own room and all my friends always chill in here and we have so much fun and i know i dont have to deal with anyone at all. i love having my own room. so anyway i guess the only thing that still bothers me is how immature she was abotu it all. before she moved out i tryed to sitdown and have a talk with her and she wouldnt even talk. and now her and the girls she moved in with sit in class and talk abotu me all day. like were out of middle school, heck were outta highschool!! but i guess some people never grow up!

Wow, people are pretty pathetic. If they confront you and say anything to your face, just tell them to grow up. It's college, not high school. I hope your new roommate is nicer then this girl.
Do you know how much money she had before coming to college? did she live with her parents? maybe she had a seriously rough and poor life before and didn't have much choice, doesn't make it right to lie... but by what stuff she brought with her, idk, seems like she didn't have much.
You sure she didn't just use that as a cover..? But hm, not sure. you can always request for a new roommate. Get a lock box for things, food wise, idk buy small amounts at a time.
Well, I'm happy it ended up working out for you. That ex-roommate of yours sounds like she's used to getting what she wants and using anything she wants... Definitely not a good trait.
And yeah, single rooms rock... I love having my own room... I actually couldn't imagine having to have a room mate.... I dunno what'd I do. XD

so i figured out that the room she moved into actually had someone listed as a room mate that hadnt come yet. so they jsut switched room mates with my old room mate and the girl that never showed. so i wont be getting a new room mate because on teh list it shows that i already have a room mate. (even though she never showed up) so single room for me!! i love it, but i do have friends that stay the night and things. its jsut alot funner that way! lol. but i do have to say from now on at 12 everyone is getting out of my room!!! i havnt went to bed before 4 since ive been here. its kind of crazy!
