I'm applying to go to university next year. Haven't actually started my UCAS form yet but I think I'm going to apply for:

Gateway to Physics and Engineering at St. Andrews.
Computational Physics at the University of Edinburgh.
Computational Physics at Heriott Watt.
Computer Science and Physics at the University of Glasgow.
Physics at the University of Dundee.

I'm still not 100% sure whether to apply for Dundee or Aberdeen though. Dundee is closer and is supposed to be better for physics but Aberdeen has a physics and philosophy course. I'm tempted to ditch both of them and go for physics with logic and philosophy of science at St. Andrews but it's really competitive and my grades aren't the best, plus if you apply for two courses there they'll only send you an offer for one of them.

Anyone else applying? If you're already at uni, any advice to give?

I'm applying, not sure what for yet but I'm looking into chemistry related courses at UEA, Nottingham, Aston and Surrey. I'm actually trying to write my personal statement right now (I think it's important that it's good because that's your first point of contact with the university). I'm using these websites to help:
