Howdy! I know i'm only in the 8th grade but i'm already thinking of the college i want to go to. I want to go to veterinary(spelling?) school for horses. Colorado State University is the second best in the country but i want to see if anybody has suggestions. Thanks!!
Mmm, i don't know really. But just make sure you do really good in school, take it seriously, get good grades, do extra school, volunteer, work with horses when you can like work/volunteer somewhere and save money.

Suggestion: The magazine US News and World Report releases college rankings every year, and I believe you can look exclusively for veterinary schools if you so choose too. Remember, veterinary schools are considered post-graduate- you need to get an undergraduate degree first.
And don't sweat too much about college yet. Give it another two or three years.

apply to as many scholarships as u can!! and yea iagree with deepdistress, make sure u do alot of volunteer work and join clubs in high school.
also, don't just focus on one college. Look at more colleges, and then make a list of all the colleges u would consider going to. This may be hard but try to visit them. afterwards, Make a pros and cons list for each college.
Whenever u start applying to colleges, make sure u get an english teacher or counselor to proofread your college essays.
Good Luck! I hope you enjoy your high school years <3
More then anything work HARD! in highschool because that could be the difference between a scholarship and paying for school yourself.
I agree with researching schools and also talking to your local vets to find out where they went to school.
Also, get in early with a vet, even if it is only volunteering(you can always more your way up).
I started out just exercise riding horses for my trainer when i first met her, not i am breaking and training horses as well as giving lessons. It is all about hard work, but you can do it
Oh, trust me, you have PLENTY of time. Right now, focus on doing well in high school so you have a good chance of getting into these colleges and/or getting scholarships.
