1. Write notes.
2. Go over everything twice (not very time efficient but useful just the same).
3. Have a study partner to bounce ideas off of and double check that you are correct, but ONLY if they are helpful and serious and the two of you make things faster and not slower.
Start early. Cramming doesn't help long term retention of any of the material (which should be the goal). Don't stress out too much. Take notes in class and listen to everything your teacher says. Quiz yourself to see what you know and what you don't know. Go over what you don't know more extensively than what you do know.
