Hi there!
I have a problem and I hope you can help me
I've started high school in september and during the first months I really loved it, but I noticed that during christmas holidays I didn't want to return to school..
Then when I had to go back I was really nervous and I started to get bad results.
My report card was good, but now I don't feel happy when I go to school!
What about if I fail the year? Here in italy you have to repeat the school year and my school is really strict and if you don't achieve good results the school suggests you to change school and I don't want to D;
I passed some very difficult exams to get it and I don't want to give it up!
I'm not going so bad, but I never want to do homework and then I wake up in the morning and I'm like in panic because I haven't done homework!
What can I do? x
Hello there Livia,
The only way to avoid that panic you feel is to actually do your homework in time. The best motivation for school is to actually play by the rules, and you should be fine. Try to see your exams and homework as a game, as a challenge. I know you can do it, you started just fine didn't you? So, hold on in there and continue the awesomeness.
Why don't you try to do a schedule? Everyday you keep one hour or two to dispatch part (or all?) of the homework that day of school gave you. In no time, you'll see it can get much better. If you stick to that schedule without fail, you can have some little extra hours to play a game, be on the computer, drawing or whatever you like to do in your free time.
Good luck! I know you can do it.
Suddenly my eyes are open
Everything comes into focus, oh!
We are all illuminated,
Lights are shining on our faces
We are, we are blinded ! We are, we are blinded !
Well, you have to make yourself to do the homework. It's the only solution, and you have to learn (maybe you'll find out something you still like in that school).
Anyway, good luck
It's one of those days again, when music is your only friend.
Don't panic and don't worry too much. You are smart enough to pass the year with good marks. You've demonstrated that before. So don't worry too much about it. However, don't be inactive either, unless you know you can get away with it. Study and pay attention in class and make sure that you actually do understand all the material that is presented to you. Then study some more to make sure. After you've done that, there isn't a whole lot you can do. If you do start doing worse, change your study habits. But as of right now, that hasn't happened. So just don't worry and be confident in yourself. It makes all the difference. Good luck.
You realize you are just stressed right? I mean logically you must realize that you are doing well and working hard, so why should anything change.
1. Keep doing what has worked so well thru Christmas.
2. Be optimistic, glass is half full not half empty
3. Take time to relax so you arent s stressed out. To be honest getting good grades isnt worth it if you loose your health over the stress

Thank you very much
I know I should do a schedule everyday, I've been told to do it several times but I've never done it!
I'll try to do it next week.. I'm sure it will work well and my grades will be as good as always! x

Thank you
I pay attention in class, but I find hard to concentrate at home because I have too many distractions (computer, TV, music etc)
Maybe I should study at the library

Thanks! You are right, stress is useless and just makes you hate school!
I just have to organize my time better and everything will work well
Stress can be extremely debilitating, but it can also be helpful. Overall, it sounds like you need to develop some time management skills. I would try to keep assignments organized by due date. Set a due date for yourself so that you have them done before the due date. If you organize your assignments, you should be able to make better use of your time.
It might come down to a motivation issue. If you aren't motivated, you need to set goals for yourself to motivate you. Say, if you finish your paper by x date, you will treat yourself to a shopping trip or a special dessert. If your grades and education don't motivate you enough, motivate yourself in other ways.
