I need you because I'm french and I hope to speak very well English,it's why i'm here. So,please if you have tips give me cause I really need,I don't know how to learn this language.
I have 16 years old and I'm in high school.
Please, contact me if you want to talk to me,i'm very kind.
My tip is to be patient bc English is supposed to be one of the hardest languages to speak because there are so many "rules" and then exceptions to those so-called rules. But just speaking and writing English will help, so hope to see you on here posting and replying to threads and helping your english.
try reading English books, just like novels or something. You'd be surprised how much that alone will teach you.
If you read while by your computer you can google words you don't understand or know the meaning of and that'll help teach you.
I know a girl who moved to my area from Brazil who just watched a movie in english with Portuguese subtitles over and over again. She learned to speak the language pretty well just from that. That sounds really impressive to me, but it can't hurt.

That actually sounds like a pretty good way of learning a language

it's alright, to tell me
what you think, about me,
i won't try, to argue,
or hold it, against you.
I have a friend in Hungary who is trying to learn English as well,
What helps her is to read children's books in English and to listen to people speaking English and writing down what they are saying.
*Oh, and btw, I DO throw rage fits.
If I get overly aggressive at you, just ignore me.
Overall, if you need help, please feel free to ask me for it.
I know that everything in France is dubbed, which in my opinion is really irritating, so you should try to watch movies in their true language (if that option is even available in a french dvd...) and use only french subtitles so you understand what is said.
Reading english books with a french-english dictionary next to you might also greatly help, so you can check the more obscure words.
Not to mention, you should avoid using Google translator to form sentences while writing here on TeenForumz, and try to do them by yourself. It's very important to have this initiative.
I think it's great that you want to improve your English.
You could try learning English through free websites, such as http://livemocha.com/pages/languages/learn-english/. It looks like you already know the basics, but the website I have recommended should help you to build on what you already know. It is quite interactive, which is a good way to learn.
Other ways to learn include:
Reading books, newspapers and magazines.
Watch English films or TV programmes.
Visit an English speaking forum (such as this one!).
Travel to an English speaking country. Perhaps you could check if your school offers any exchange programs to England.
Write some English, and ask someone to correct it (I would be happy to do this if you like).
