When I was at school we had to wear a tie, if we didnt wear or bring one to school they would give you a detention or even worse, isolation.

Um, at my school we can wear whatever we want.
We don't wear ties unless they go with our outfits

i did in primary school, but then they changed the uniform and i havent worn one since, so i forgot how to tie a tie now lol

We didn't have to wear ties at my school. Thank goodness to that, too. I hated ties.

we don't have to wear uniforms after 7th grade at my school, well, our uniforms didn't include ties anyway. but I like ties, so I wear them :| just for looks not for school

Not many students in France have to wear a tie or an uniform at school.
