How much do you know about protection methods? Do you understand the concept of protection very well? Do you make sure that you are protected? Do you think teenagers need to be more informed on the protection methods available to them?
I am thinking of writing an article on this sometime to give better understanding of protection methods etc

Ah, if only...
I haven't gone on the pill, nor do I want to. I'm quite aware of the different types of contraception, and I always use a condom. I would never go without one, even if he pulled out before climax.

If you wanna know why I'm asking it's because I'm on it and while I hate taking yet another pill - it makes me feel better.

Heh, that's okay. ^.^ I don't mind you asking at all.
Well, the stupid, self-centered part of me doesn't want to go on the pill because one of the side effects can be, but isn't always, weight gain, and I don't really want to take that risk, having had trouble with my weight in the past. I've gone from being 70kgs, to 45kgs within the space of 4 months, so I don't want anything to do with anything that will affect my weight.
But it is recommended that people who smoke shouldn't really go on the pill, and I smoke around a pack a day. The most serious risks associated with the pill include blood clots, stroke and heart attacks, and these risks are all increased if you smoke, therefore it's strongly advised that if you go on the pill, you don't smoke.
Some (but not many) have reported an increase in the chance of breast cancer through taking the pill. Certain women shouldn't take the pill, including those who have cancer, and seeing as I have a history of cancer in my family (my dad died of it recently), that also makes me wary of taking it.
Also, the pill doesn't protect against STD's, meaning that regardless of the fact that I'd be using it, I'd still use a condom. To be honest, I'd rather just stick to using a condom than taking an extra pill and worrying about possible side effects. :]

At our school we've every year since the fifth grade sexual education classes. Each year, the teaching according to age adjusted. But it occurs that the younger students participates at the classes of the elders if they are already more developed than others of their age, have already had sex, or so. This concept seems to work. For over fifteen years, no girl of our school had become pregnant. And no student got any venereal diseases. So, it was announced last year by the school administration.

I understand them pretty well, but I do think a lot of people don't understand them well enough. Not just teenagers, even a lot of adults don't really understand it (or the importance of it) seeing as how STDs and pregnancy are such a big problem in the world despite our discoveries.
From what I've read in the news, it might even be beneficial to teach this in elementary school, seeing as how the current abstinence curriculum doesn't seem to be done well enough to convince people.
