Default drop down menus

I can't seem to get them to work anymore on this website. It just suddenly stopped working the past couple of days.

By drop down menus I mean where it says "search" and "more" on the bar on the top. Also when I get notifications aswell. Usually when I click on them a drop down menu comes up with more options, but whenever I do it now absolutely nothing happens.

It's not that big a deal, I can navigate round easy enough without them, the only time it's a little annoying is with the notifications where it says "2 notifications" for example but I don't know if it's rep or post on my wall etc.

Just thought it was a bit odd they just suddenly stopped working for me.
Anyone any idea why?

Check that JavaScript is turned on in your browser, this is the only thing I can think of this being due to as they all use JS. In Firefox go to Tools > Options > Content Tab > Enable JavaScript, it may be that its been turned off, I am not sure of the steps to take in IE but they should be similar.

Do you have a add block?
Might be that it thinks the dropdown menu is an add.
Don't know though.

I'd cleared all the cookies and stuff and made sure javascript was turned on and today the drop down menus are working fine so it's all sorted now.

Thanks for the help people

Glad to hear its working now. If anyone else has this issue make sure youre not using the NoScript addon for Firefox as well as the above.

Sorry to bring this up again.

I can get the drop down menus perfectly except for if I'm on the main page. If I'm on a thread it's fine.

It doesnt bother me as it's not like it's hard to just click on a thread, just it's a bit odd, wondered if you had any idea why?

Is this in Firefox? If so, could you click tools> addons and tell us what is installed there. I have never experienced this myself, its rather odd to only happen on the home page too.

No sorry, it's on internet explorer. I could have a look for add-ons though, might just take a minute or 2. Yeah I thought it was a bit odd that it's only the home page

I've found "manage add-ons" but I'm not sure what exactly I'm looking for. I'm not very good at computers haha.

Everything is enabled except for the "bing bar" but thats just stopping that bing search bar I think?

Sorry for the double post btw
