I feel your pain, mine was like that this afternoon. It's a hell of a bitch, really. And that, dear children, is how in Jr High I got the name, "Fluffy".
....Yeah, it wasn't that creative but our gym class bubble brain bully gave it to me (she took some sort of morbid liking to me for some reason).

Mine just gets so dry after I wash it and no special shampoos or conditioners will change it. The next day enough of the natural oils are restored to make it cooperate, the day after that it's perfect, and then I wash it again either that night or the next day. It's thick, too, and nearly elbow-length in the back, so when it doesn't cooperate it's a real bitch. xD
I used to have the same problem with my hair :/ No matter what I did to it, it still poofed outward and got all frizzy. That is, until I went and got it cut. Now it's more manageable, even with as thick as it is.
