I already draw, obsess over Anime, collect pennies, collect keychains (I have more than I know what to do with), read manga and anything else that interests me, look online for problems to solve (you people used to be my favorite hobby).
But I now fear I'm finding to be all a little boring. I need multiple ideas, I like the have multiple diverse hobbies so that my mind will not get bored with just one thing.
- I don't feel like drawing anything anymore, I'm not inspired (doesn't help no one here inspires me)
- I've looked and looked for more Anime to watch, but I can't seem to find anything that interests me anymore (except for the ones I'm watching now).
- Collecting pennies is fun but I don't go anywhere anymore and when I do, it costs money and what's the point in getting pennies if you don't see the exhibits or attraction it's suppose to represent?
- Collecting keychains... well, I've run out room to put them.
- The only Manga I'm reading right now is Black God and Alice in the Country of Hearts, however I fly through Black God very fast and have bought 5-6 volumes in a week, at different times. And I read 2 vols. in under an hour to boot. It's too pricey and I have no income. Same for other books, but the difference is that I can't find anything interesting to read. Anything with a decent plot these days for some reason also involves a romantic plot, which I totally do not want.
- As for solving problems, it was fun when I started but now I just can't seem to work up the motivation to actually care or to even try. Well let me take that back, the problem for me isn't solving it, it's the words. It's all simple for me to figure out, I just don't know how to put it in the right way. Plus other people more or less say what I was going to. Once upon a time, I was one of the few who could solve the problems the fastest and most accurately. But now it's not that others have gotten smarter or anything, it's just the problems are so fucking textbook now - all I want to do is smack those bitches around for not knowing the answer. Basically, the simplicity of many problems these days are boring and I can't be bothered to say the answer when others will say the same thing but in a much calmer way than I would.
So yeah, I'm bored. Give me some interesting hobbies that preferably don't cost too much. I was thinking of asking my parents if I could start a garden outside so that maybe we could grow our own fruit and veggies and not spend so much on food right now. But somehow, I don't think they'll go for that. I only had that idea because my friends family does it. That and I don't know the first thing about it.
I was also thinking of taking up a Puzzle hobby but you have to pay to get those and then I'll probably get crap and cracks and get compared to my grandparents (who have stacks and stacks of puzzles at home). Also, with different types of puzzle games, I always finish them too quickly... granted I get accused of cheating but they never say how you're supposed to solve it, only that you solve it. And I always solve them, they need to make those things more challenging.
So yeah, I have no income so I need an inexpensive hobby. Any ideas? I'm bored to tears here.

Bottle caps? I think I did that when I was younger. My parents would bring me home glass bottles of Dr. Pepper or Coke. Then the first time I tried to get the cap off myself... I cut my hand pretty bad and that put me off of it.
The problem with me collecting things though is that they tend to be absolutely worthless and I will hoard them until I find something else more interesting... and even then i hold onto it.
For fishing and cooking... ew... fish. And I'm not big on cooking. Stamps? Not interesting enough, personally.
Thanks for the ideas though.

Growing fruit and veggies is fun. Start with some terracotta pots, grow dwarf green beans in them like I do. Or chillies, or grow herbs. Thyme, basil, parsley is a bit of a pain but rosemary is lovely. nice with roast lamb, too. Grow tomatoes. Over here they're expensive in the shops. Growing your own cost little and the taste is fantastic.
I went into guitar as a hobby. If you find yourself board play it. I am decent now where i can play almost anything. Since i know you like rock, do drums, bass, or guitar.

@ Hallace: My Dad has already tried that, so has my cousin (he plays the Bass). Playing has never interested me because I used to play the French Horn (I loved and hated it at the same time) and I get nervous just at the thought of people hearing me and believe me, if they knew, they'd want to hear... or worse, they'd want to try and help.
@ Floxy: Beer mats?
Some of those things we don't eat. Personally, though, i don't like to start out small. If I'm gonna do something, I want to make it worthwhile. Also, I'd have to pay for the pots... I had to do that as a kid for an experiment (by the way, plants do in fact respond more positively to rock music rather than classical. Just an FYI). I was thinking more like carrots, strawberries, tomatoes, maybe some other stuff depending on how much room they take up. But yeah, I just don't think my parents will go for it.
I hope I'm not sounding like I'm just shooting every idea down because I can. I just need something a little different. Maybe I'll just go hang out at a hobby store tonight, see if something catches my eye... on second though, maybe not, I might have to drive there in the dark.

Bah i hate playing my guitar infront of anyone but friends where it is more a show off thing. (lol)
Video games?
Always my fallback. Since you can't say you can get tired of the endless amounts of games nowadays!

Video games are not really my thing. I never really got into them, I tend to only play them when someone else wants to play.

Collecting beer mats over here is a popular hobby. I know you can't eat them, but dad knew a chef who got so pissed off with a customer that he dipped one in beer, floured and seasoned it, then in beaten egg and fried it. The customer loved it.
You could put some speakers by your plants and treat them to rock. yes, why not? You might irritate your parents, but far less for a few packets of inexpensive seeds. I have a weakness for baby carrots.
Oh, you mean a Coaster. That's what those are called here. Naw, that just don't light me up.
Eh, I don't know. I'm afraid I'll get bored of it.
How about an unusual hobbies? Anyone know of any I could do?
