I think the author herself explained it once on her Twitter and they mentioned it in Vampires Suck... something about feeling conflicted and virginity or something like that. I don't remember.
Shout, Shout, Let it all Out, These are the Things I Can do Without You Shouldn't Have to Jump for Joy, You Shouldn't Have to Shout for Joy
They Give You Life and in Return You Gave 'em Hell As Cold as Ice - No Bitch, You're Ice Ice Baby I Hope We Live to Tell the Tale, I Hope We Live to Shout the Tale
Will You Never Shout? And When You've Taken Down Your Guard... If I Could Change Your Mind, I'd Really Love to Break Your Heart! Come On Let Me Shout Shout Let Me, Come On Let Me Shout Shout!
working at a bookstore: every single day about 100 people would ask where the twilight books were. -_- i have read the second book and the 4th. and have seen all the movies that are out right now. i didnt care for the book, and the movies... well... uggh.
idk why they are soo popular. i am gonna take a guess that it is the fact that a human is in love with a vampire. and it is the conflict between the two and all the of that and whatnot. also i would say that it would have to be the choice that bella has to make in every movie "does she love edward, or does she love jacob?" other than that, i have no clue!!! XD
I love Harry Potter, but its the same thing as Twilight: An author with poor writing who has relateable characters in a fantasy world. Kids want to get away, and the best solution is to get lost in those books.
The characters are static, flat characters who never change in their attitudes. This is because both Meyer and Rowling want the reader to insert themselves into the character.
"A toothache, or a violent passion, is not necessarily diminished by our knowledge of its causes, its character, its importance or insignificance".- T.S. Eliot
I didn't read the books, just saw the films. And it isn't sooo great. It's just a medium saga with handsome actors (although I don't think Robert Pattinson is one of the most hansome guys of the world) but the story is just disastrous.
The worst thing is that this saga has started a trend about the vampires and now in the bookshops there are too much books for teens about vampires...
Too much vampires kills vampires !
I started reading the first book, two years ago or something, because I wanted to have my own opinion. It was so boring after a while... that I eventually just stopped.
Suddenly my eyes are open
Everything comes into focus, oh!
We are all illuminated,
Lights are shining on our faces
We are, we are blinded ! We are, we are blinded !
