As to you being racist? No I don't think so, you were raised and not adjusted to such seeings.

As to the meaning of racism: To me it's the act of hating/ bullying someone just for cultural, religious, language, color differences.

I dont know how may to be a racist ;/ I dont unterstand theirs. Black or white, whats the different?! This is the same people. I was in Netherland and worked with a different foreigners with black too, and I think that in addition to skin color did not differ in nothing more... We should unite the whole nation as human. In the American films very often I can see wars beside white and black discrit. This is true in real life in yours country or only in movies?

Outlawing hijabs and burqas does not make one racist, as those are tied to the Islamic religion, not a specific race. Though it may make one intolerant of other cultures and religions. By definition, racism deals only with discrimination against race. As a blanket term, you can use "discriminatory", "ignorant" or "intolerant" until words such as "ethnicitist", "homosexualitist" and "disabilitist" are added to the English lexicon to describe someone who is intolerant of ethnicity, homosexuality or disabilities.

Personally, I believe racism starts with the honest belief (note that the wording is indicative of the fact that "racist" jokes do not truly fall into the racism category) that one human race is superior to another.
