Most internet savvy people would have heard of the Slenderman meme, and if you haven't, you'll probably want to keep it that way. Even though it's known he was just made up for funsies, he's still pretty damn terrifying.

I tried to avoid looking into it much, but having a natural affinity for things that induce insomnia, I found a few YouTube projects related to the mythos that are actually really awesome.

There's one that I'm watching now called "Marble Hornets" which is about an abandoned film project that later gets investigated by the director's friend, and leads to some disturbing developments. It sounds cliche, but believe me, it's effective at scaring the pants off people.

when I first heard of the slender man I bought into it and thought that it was an actual myth.

Come on, you know you want to.

One of the first things I learned about him was that he was made up, but the first time I heard about him, it was in the middle of the night, so it still scared me shitless.

But back to my original point, would anyone please watch Marble Hornets? And maybe hold my hand too? I don't want to die alone.

I used to not be scared of Slenderman at all,
And I thought I was king of the world because of it.

Then I went on Tumblr and looked at the Slenderman tags and I was definitely scarred for life.
