I was wondering if a search box for the smileys could be implemented? It's kind of frustrating to scroll through all the smileys and try to find the right one.

I don't think it will make any difference. What will be your input to search the smilie? Instead it will be good to arrange then in categories.

Ex: Generic, angelic, flirt, love, happy etc

I somewhat agree with you, but you can always go with the advance reply. I normally open the smileys in a new windows and use the ctrl + f to do a quick search. I can add more smileys to the quick reply for quicker access, instead of having just 10.
