I have come up with two potential site features. OK, FaceBook actually used it first, but they work great, can (hopefully) be incorporated without much mess, and most importantly, (I wouldn't imagine) they are copyrighted! (And if they are, a simple word change is all that's needed)

1) The "Poke" function. When TheFaceBook first came out, 'poke' was a feature that had no explanation. The creatures even stated on an early version of the website: "We don't know why we put it here. Enjoy it." 'Poking' someone could mean anything, one that sticks out in my mind is a sexual intention. Here is the way it could be incorporated into the website: User A has an option to poke User B in one of two ways; An option on User B's profile, or, for the convinience of User A, an option next to any of User B's posts (such as next to the reputation button, or maybe in the drop down menu with 'View User B's Profile' and 'View Other Posts by User B'). User B would get a notification that he was poked by User A. Just a way I imagine one could go about this. Now, why can this be useful? It was a very popular feature on FaceBook, it was a quick way to be recognized by someone else without having to type out a message to them, maybe what you wanted to say couldn't be said in a message? Such as the sexual suggestive intention, as mentioned earlier. It would be a new and interesting way for friends to communicate as well. Teens love to do these things.

2) The "Like" a post feature. User A could press a button to "like" one of User B's posts. He wouldn't have to make a post to say "I agree", and could be used during the forum games as a way to say 'lol' or something to a post without interrupting the thread, and it'd be a quick way to do it too. Just a speedy way to clear up clutter, don't know how easy this would be though, these seem like things that may not be able to be easily incorporated into VBulliten, although I've never used it before so I wouldn't know.

1) No. We don't need to act like Facebook. Facebook is facebook. Let it be. It wouldn't be beneficial in any way in my opinion.

2) A like feature? No. We have "Did you find this post helpful" already. It is already used as a like feature and abused way too much. This has also been suggested I believe.

Great ideas in suggestions/ideas.

I think the second is great actually, people can agree but it not give rep so you have two options for rep, which i love <3 and then you can have a lesser just i like this, or it made me lol without the rep.

I love how everyone says no mostly just because it's facebook lol.. It'd be interesting if people actually liked these ideas if it wasn't for facebook. (dont kill please.)

My thoughts:

For your first suggestion with a "Poke" feature. While there is no tangible benefit for Teen Forumz or its members in its implementation, it does offer some aspect of "fun" to the site. So, I can see it as being a nifty little feature that we amuse ourselves with. But, my issue with it, is the implementation. (Sorry, I've got a really short attention span at the moment) So, I didn't read everything you wrote for this one.

I guess, I've got nothing against it and I'd find the fun in poking fellow Teen Forumz'ers. But its definitely a miscellaneous feature, lol.

For your second suggestion...

2.) We already have a "did you find it helpful?" button. However, I like the simple "like" button. Maybe as a replacement? Because, really, when I use that button its more because I like a post... if I find it 'helpful' I go the route of RepMe.. But that's my two cents.

I'm sorry. OK, um, I hate to see people cry, so how about this then: The "Did you Find this Helpful" is the new Rep button, and "Like" is the new "Did you Find this Helpful" button. Also, put it in every thread, this one doesn't have it, do only certain forums use it?
