In light of recent events, why not institute a poll like system when there is a viable suggestion to the admins that the admins or mods control? Like, today, with the idea of not counting games as an increase in post count, it was a giant bruhaha of ideas that led to mondo argumentation... Why not have a poll, and then everyone gets a voice and a vote?
Discussion can happen like any other, except more stringently moderated? I'm not sure how much of a democracy this site is, but its just a thought.

I agree this could work for a lot of problems, however i think the post count is too much of a biggy important choice which i think the admins alone should decide on. If there's 20 people who want it to remain the same, and then who want it to not count them, and the admins dont want it to count people will blow up how it's not fair cause of the majority, well...when it's the admins site.
Right, I understand that... I was just using this as an example. And the admins would determine if something could be up for vote; like, I couldn't make a poll.

A voting system in the "Suggestions" section of the forum is great. Members can create polls and people may vote.
However, your suggestion is valid. It should be a requirement to add a poll within a thread to see the opinion and a post. However, many users such as myself, will read other thoughts then weigh out what the decision should be whether it'd be and then vote.
The only thing I can find wrong with this suggestion is that moderators/administrators can tweak the vote and ed it. However, it should be reviewed.
I know the administrators like to hear what people think about things. They check suggestions and usually give feedback on the suggestion. But, as @DeepDistress stated - at the end of the day, it's their call.

Then yeah I'm for it, but it'd definitely have to be the admins choose the polls and that.
It's a good idea for some things. It would definitely work for some minor issues. I still think people should be allowed to voice their opinions and should contribute to an idea though.
yup, with more lapse of time for members to express their opinion, due to any circunstance weren't able to express their opinion when the "concern" started
Maybe not so much a poll, but a voting system definitely. If we have a poll people are just going to tick "For" and "Against" without justifying their choice; I'd also like to see WHY people are choosing these answers so that a more accurate assessment can be done prior to implementing the feature. For example, if someone votes "Against" a feature and raises a good point about why it shouldn't be implemented, at 'least the staff will be aware of the issue and can act accordingly. We get too many people simply saying "I don't like this" that it really doesn't give much for staff to go by and it's unhelpful.
May I also suggest that voting's be made global announcements to increase the likelihood of people noticing and contributing toward them? They can be moved after the voting period has ended.
