I would like to submit an idea I had that we could use on the forums for exstaff members
I thought that with all the retired moderators and other retired staff members in the forums we have a good base of knowledge.
I was thinking that the admins could create a new position called Staff Advisor and give it to all of the retired staff that want it. The role of a Staff Advisor would be to pass on their knowledge that they gained during their time as a Staff member on Teen Forumz. They would have no moderation powers etc but they could just be someone that current/new staff members can go to for tips on their roles.
This would mean that the knowledge isn't lost and the new staff members will not have to learn the hard way.
I agree with everyone else. There's really no reason for staff advisers; if anything they could just be recognized as former staff members with some sort of banner.

From joy to sorrow, yesterday to tomorrow, you've been there. Friends like you are rare, your touch is so gentle,
You're my guardian angel.
Like a blossoming flower spreading your wings in grace, filling my heart with power
by feeling your embrace.
Wherever the wind may blow, we will overcome this war, in times happy or sore, I will never let you go.
With a gentle warm heart and a will of stone, We'll never be apart, You'll never be alone. - John <3
This is actually a good suggestion. There is merit in the idea of utilizing former staff to help advise and assist the current staff; especially newer ones.
However, personally, I am more prone to go the route of acknowledging our past staff members with some sort of icon/banner rather than go the distance you have suggested. I would also note that previous staff members, if they are still active, are always an excellent source to go to for advice - regardless if they are titled a staff advisor or not.
I like the suggestion, sir. We are working on something along these lines - so I thank you for your suggestion.
