No, I don't disagree. I'm just using it as an example. I don't think we can go all willy nilly adding stuff til we get everything else in order. You know what I'm saying?

I'm not saying we shouldn't give it a try. I think its a good idea. I dunno. I just think it would be better to clean out our closet before adding new boxes to it. More room. And plus, its likely if it was one of the forums that survived the onslaught of elimination, there would be far more usage than right now.

But, hey, I see no problem with it right now if thats what the it comes down to. Thoughts, @David-?

I'm with Jared here. I don't think that we should add anything until we figure out how to clean out the subsections and sections that we don't use. That doesn't mean necessarily getting rid of any sections but rather combining them and renaming them. I do think that would be a good idea. We should delay adding sections until we do get things a bit more organized because all it will do is make things more complicated when we finally do a reorganization (if we do it). So I think it's a good idea and we should definitely keep that in mind but we don't want to complicate the forums any more if we are actually considering combining, condensing, and cleaning out the forums, which I think couldn't hurt.

Ever been to a forum that had a ton of sections and subsections? At first you're like, whoa! big site, alright! But then you start looking at those sections and subsections and you realize they lack content and haven't been posted in in the last 3 months. And some still have 0 posts in them.

That's a sign of bad administration. The problem with the scenario is that it gives off the vibe of inactivity for the site as whole. That and it looks like a sea of sections... overbearing, really.

I'm not opposed to adding more sections to Teen Forumz as the support and need for it arises. However, at the moment we need to contemplate cleaning out the closet before we add more boxes to it. So, I am in agreement with Jared and Allan.

At the moment I'm simply observing the different sections to see what the options are. And already removing some. Bet you didn't notice that. Yeah, that'd be because it was like the forgotten child you didn't know you had. (its late, i'm tired. oops).

@David- i agree (somwhat) if you made changes and nobody noticed that is indeed a sign that it was a GREAT change. Of course as you know, not all changes are like that. Some of the changes that have occurred have bee terrible. And the people that were long time members left. Rather sad i think, But again, your recent small change sounded like a great one since it went unnoticed.

I also like your examples of cleaning a closet or cleaning a room. Sometimes people go into a messy, cluttered room and decide to make the change to a clean organized room they just quickly throw half of the stuff out. You do it so quickly and in large ammout that you throw out new clothes, homework that hasn't been turned in yet, and mementos from childhood. Instead I like to work in corners of the room and get everything perfect in that corner before moving on to another area. And while I am cleaning the one corner i put all of the stuff that was in that corner in different piles or boxes so i don't lose them and be pissed off that I lost them later.

So ya I suggest going nice and slow in restructuring. Administrators, remember this is not your room only. You have the power to clean house. But you have roommates too (all of us). If you throw our stuff out without asking first, or paint the room a certain color without asking us first, their may be chaos and hard feelings, and mutiny in the room. Not a threat, just a realossibility if you think about it. BC would you like it if somebody went into your room when you were gone and through out stuff you liked or painted it a weird color?

Finally, may i suggest a poll? Kinda like oh idk ... do you want 4 main sections or 8? I would have to think of good questions for the poll, but i think a poll is a good idea. We have been talking about this for a while, now is time to move (but like I said above, move slowly, cautiously and with good communication).

Butbutbut we wouldn't be adding loads of sub-forums and over-doing it, just 1-5 more and maybe getting rid of the dead ones?

Anyway, how do you suppose y'all can 'clean out the closet' then? :3
