Happy Reorganisation of the TF Sections.

First of all, I just want to ask that if you're going to comment please say if you think it's a good idea or bad and then explain why you think this way. Also, can you think about this properly and consider for a few minutes.

To the point:

I think the sections aren't covering all the subjects someone would want to talk about (and maybe restricting thread ideas). I think that they could be reconstructed into a better, more organised and simpler way.

So, if you look at the index you have four sections: Teen Forums Community,
Help and Advice Forums, General Discussion Forums and Entertainment Forums. So, already you can see that threads are limited to being either advice-related, about entertainment or about disucssing something. This can be ok, but I was thinking they could be changed into a lot more suitable, better and simpler sections.

So yeah. I just thought maybe they should be reorganised and new ones should be added, dead ones could be renamed maybe even merged into others and stuff.

Teen Forumz hasn't had any big changes lately so for one it'd be cool to see some things change (Teen Forumz has hardly changed since I've been here) and also with new sections always comes new threads (see: review section, Time capsule etc..).

I know I've given stupid ideas before - and awesome ones - so if you think this is stupid then I'm sorry :p

For me, i think it's fine the way it is because each section has sub forums, which then go into more detailed advice/talking subjects. So, for me i think it's good because it's better to have big majority ones, then look into smaller ones for the one you want.

however, if there were suggestions/example i might consider and change my mind.

Also I think it's pointless to ask/discuss this too much till we hear the admin's say since it's a ton of work on their behalf.

I think that it's fine the way it is. Mainly, because it doesn't really cause too many problems in my view. And I'm against changing things like that unless there's a major problem associated with that. There are always unintended consequences that will occur when something like this is implemented. So I don't think it's a good idea because there's nothing wrong with the way that it is right now.

I wouldn't mind helping out with the work, if they decided to do it.

Anyway... There still aren't sub forums for a lot of things. Some new sub forums should be added, in that case. Maybe remove/merge some, too? =3

Well give me some ideas/examples of what isn't here and what we need.

The consequences wouldn't be that big, and are avoidable. About the 'nothing wrong', there are a lot of subjects that could be that aren't. =3

Yeah I agree, I think the sections are getting dead and many things could be added.

Well, lifestyle stuff (alternative lifestyles) maybe, which can be filled with loads of stuff and you know, just more areas covering more topics.

eh i disagree, it looks way worse to have a bunch of unused sub forums. I mean, things like lifestyle are rare, and when newbies come they're pretty careless to make sure it's in the right spot anyways.

So, i disagree still. idk how the admins will feel.

I'm not opposed to this. In fact it's on my to do list to remove inactive forums. However, I would like to see a proposal for how we would actually reorganize the forums before we begin to determine of its what we're doing.
Bryant and Kryptonite like this.
