Teen Forums - Teen Chat, Teen Help, Teen Advice & Support

OK, here's an idea I have (again, this is an idea similar to FaceBook): User can post "Status Updates" onto their profile. All statuses that people post are cumulated into a "News Feed". If you are "Friends" with someone (the "friends" system is already in place), their statuses appear at the top. Bellow that, popular ones from other users appear, so you don't have to be friends with someone to take part in a big conversations. You can set the "statuses" to "Only these people", "Only friends", "Only members", or "Everyone"... that part might be a little much, but I don't know.

I know this would probably be difficult to code, but it seems like it would be a great addition to the site if it could get done. Another site I go to (Young Writer's Society) has a section of the website just for this, and they have really expanded it. I could see some cool stuff being done with this, not many forum sites have this, and it'd be cool to have something on here that isn't part of the traditional forum experience! So yeah, I don't have a lot of experience with web coding yet so I don't know how difficult this would be :/ (I don't expect anything, just a mere suggestion).
