Default Re: TF Promoter Badge

Many forum owners dislike members promoting other sites and some actively discourage it. I would rather be a referrer to this fine forum and receive +rep points for bringing a new member to join, rather than have a badge.

Just my 2 pecks' worth.

@Gannet - You do not necessarily need to promote the site on other forums. You can do it via Twitter, Tumblr, for example. As for reputation - I fear that it could be easily exploited.

OT: I believe 10 is just fine, and I can join others in their points.

The Teen Forumz Promoter acknowledgement has been in place for several years now. And to my knowledge, it has not in recent history, been awarded to anyone new.

So, perhaps we can explore different alternatives or ways of regaining interest into this feature.

I was awarded it fairly recently..I think..o.o I don't remember.

For the record, if you are really concerned about getting it, there are SO MANY promotion forums out there. It is seriously ridiculous.

That's actually where I found Teen Forumz, on a promotion forum, where I like to promote my own projects, as well as socialize.

To be completely honest myself, and a few others have worked to get the badge. We completed the specification in order to get it. To change the guidelines would undermine the effort we made in order to get them and devalue them. The point of the badge is that not everyone is gonna have it.

So that's what that badge is for...

Oh yeah, the requirements.
Well, i agree with the rest. 10 websites sounds good to me.
Badges are medals of honor, not those silly glitter stickers that you can buy for 90 cents.
You have to work for each and every one of them. As if writing 1000 posts for your AP badge is easy.
